Fall Delight Continues at the Zoo

POCATELLO - If you missed ZooBoo last weekend, do not fret! Due to the marvelous weather, Halloween decorations are being left up at the Pocatello Zoo through October 30, 2011! Grand Opening of Children's Wildlife Theater

POCATELLO - The Pocatello Zoo will open its new Children’s Wildlife Theater at 11:00 a.m. this Saturday, July 23, 2011 inside the Zoo Entrance and near the Bird of Prey Exhibits. Zoo staff and trained volunteers will be offering live animal programs for Zoo visitors through Labor Day weekend at this new facility. CLICK FOR RELEASE.

Elk Saves Marmot

"Beary Happy Birthday"
POCATELLO - Pocatello Zoo and its volunteer organization “Zoo Trackers” are continuing the traditional and very popular “Bear Birthday Bash” to celebrate the birthdays of all the bears at the Zoo. Zoo Announce New Arrivals
POCATELLO - The babes are here! The Pocatello Zoo welcomes a Black Bear cub, an American Elk calf and a Red Fox kit! The Pocatello Zoo has many exciting programs this summer that will feature these wild little babies. Also, the Pocatello Zoological Society will auction off the naming rights of these youngsters at the annual fundraising event A Midsummer's Night for the Zoo. CLICK FOR RELEASE.

Zoo Summer Hours Change
POCATELLO - Starting June 16th through Labor Day (Sept. 5 th ) the Pocatello Zoo will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Free with Zoo Admission - June through August, Zoo Buddies - Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. and Tree House Encounters - Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m. The Last Friday in June, July & August is "Late Night at the Zoo" and the gate will remain open until 7:30 p.m. This is a great time to tour the Pocatello Zoo. May Volunteer Information Day & Boot Camp
POCATELLO - Individuals (ages 14 and older) who are interested in volunteering at the Pocatello Zoo are invited. to attend Volunteer Information Day, May 21, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The information session will take place at the Zoo Admin/ Education Center, across the street from the Pocatello Animal Shelter, at 3101 Avenue of the Chiefs.
